HEY.com email: I came, I bought, I’m not using it any more

I tried the new email app/service in a desperate attempt to get better at email. It’s good. But it’s not right.

CAUTION: This isn’t a review that tells you the features of the product

It’s really very opinionated

Want a signature for your email? Fuck you!

The big drawback: HEY sorts all email by email address

Email addresses are a very blunt instrument for sorting
Why doesn’t a typical email client let you do this anyway?

The Feed doesn’t mark things as read

It’s not for tidy people

Not sure I like the hey.com email address

Anti-tracking is good and bad

In conclusion: It’s good: but it’s not right.
